ANGER STUDY SHEET
Objective:
Anger is a strong emotion or feeling toward someone or something. It can occur for a number of reasons. It is usually the result of an event that has happened in your life or the reaction to the behavior of other people. Often anger is the result of loneliness, sadness, frustration or fear. When you are angry you should always take the time to examine why you are feeling like you are feeling. Anger can turn inward and cause depression (hopeless or sad feelings). Dealing with anger at yourself is often harder than dealing with anger at other people. Anger can have a negative effect on your relationships with other people. Being anger is not always an unhealthy thing if you can manage your anger and share your feelings in healthy ways.
Violence is physical force that is used to hurt someone or cause damage to something. Most people are aware when their anger is getting out of control and could become violent. It is sometimes harder to predict when someone else might become violent. Some signs to watch for are:
Unhealthy ways to express anger: Being loud, using aggressive speech, name calling or threats, getting into someone’s personal space, using violence.
