MUSCULAR SYSTEM STUDY SHEET
Objectives:
When a muscle contracts, the two ends are pulled toward the center. If the two ends are attached to different bones, the bones are pulled toward each other. To return to the original position a different muscle must pull the bone in the other direction. Most movements take the effort from two different muscles or muscle groups.
List of Major Muscles:
Objectives:
- Name the jobs of the Muscular System.
- Name the three types of muscles.
- Describe how muscles work in pairs to produce movement.
- Explain what voluntary and involuntary muscles do as they apply to movement.
- Recognize the major muscles.
- Skeletal Muscle
- Smooth Muscle
- Cardiac Muscle
